states of freedom

I was very taken by this photo when I saw it on Facebook. To me it reflects the stages of freedom achieved by various states and peoples. It may also encourage us to escape from fear and liberate our own spirit.

I do not know its origin or where it can be found.

Wonderful!
I know you didn't ask, but I was curious. A few false starts with my Google-fu and I found it:

I'd love to see it up close, it is powerful and sounds fascinating.
Thank you so much for clarifying that. I failed to find it myself. I hope others will use the link you provide.
I love it. Thanks for sharing
It's in Philadelphia in the US if my memory serves.

This is absolutely beautiful.
You've got such good eyes -- you're right, this is wonderful, from any perspective that you view it.

Though it is telling that the figures are all male.

Love, C.

Fancy that!!

belated comment

I took it to be the same person at different stages.

I'm happy enough that he's male. While women lack representation in many areas, nudity isn't one of them.
I like it, too--and am pleased to see, from the comments, that it is at 16th and Vine in Philadelphia, and thus easily accessible to me!
