Bríd - Muire na nGael

We enjoyed a beautiful autumn afternoon in Wexford today. On my stroll I went into the beautiful Parish Church of the Annunciation at Clonard to say a prayer (and to have a rest!). Part of the main Church is what is called the Day Chapel - a quiet chapel in which to pray.
On one wall of this Day Chapel is a large beautiful bright stainglass window. On the opposite wall is a very large wall-hanging, created locally, of St. Bríd (Brigid) and imageries (earth, fire, water, air) associated with her life. Bríd was the best-known and best-loved woman of Irish spirituality.

That is really pretty! :)
