Wexford Books Launched during November

‘The Moulding Shop’ - Growing up in Wexford 1954-1963, by Philip Quirke (English Teacher at CBS, Wexford). The place where you grow up is a Moulding Shop where your personality is shaped, some of the corners knocked off, and your trust or otherwise in the human project is developed. A fictionalised memoir, in which school, home, church, relatives, the area where he was reared, the presence of the factory, are all imaginatively reconstructed.

"Love from Zambia - the Letters of a Franciscan Missionary Friar" by Fr Fritz O'Kelly OFM Conv. is based on letters he wrote from Africa to friends over a period of 20 years from 1978 to 2008. Fr Fritz (85) has been based at the Friary in Wexford for the past four years.

“Men of Iron”  by Michael Enright. One hundred years after the Wexford lockout of 1911 at Pierce's Foundry, the events of that time are recalled in this launch of a new edition.

Wexford Historical Society - launch of its latest Journal (vol. 23). The society has published a biennial journal since 1968.
