Brigit's Garden

While I was on holiday in Co. Galway last week I visited a celtic heritage garden. It was like being on a magical journey through a sacred spiral based on the Celtic seasonal festivals. In 11 acres of native woodland and wildflower meadows, it includes: a nature trail, ogham trees, childrens' discovery trail, a living willow play area, an ancient ring fort, a round house, a calendar sundial (the largest in Ireland), and a restaurant.
A walk through the garden is like a journey through the cycle of the celtic year - Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine, and Lughnasa. Unfortunately, my visit was too short to absorb all its meaning.
