Fr. John O'Brien, RIP

Fr. John O'BrienA priest who spent most of his active life teaching maths and applied maths in our local St. Peter's College died recently. Many turned out yesterday for his funeral Mass in the nearby church in Bride Street in which he regularly celebrated Mass.

Fr. O'Brien was deeply involved in encouraging the arts in this locality and was a great supporter of the well-known Wexford Light Opera Society. He was also no mean scenic artist and exhibited works each year during the Opera Festival in Wexford.
O'Brien
Music at the Service included *Anthem - Chess - performed by the Wexford Light Opera Society, and Mascagni's Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana

my condolences. good math teachers are a treasure.
Thank you. Yes, and in this country apparently they are becoming more difficult to find all the time.
*nods* in this country too, alas.
