Wexford, Pennsylvania

Cristina AguileraFor the last 5 yrs or so I have been living in Wexford, Ireland. I understand there is a township in Pennsylvania which is named after our town and wonder why? Despite much "googling" I am not much wiser.

I know it is an unincorporated community in Pennsylvania, that it is on Route 19, that it is the home of a great car dealership (like ourselves), that it has a very well-thought-of school, and that Christina Aguilera was raised there.

Surely it must be a more romantic and exciting place than that!! Maybe I have a reader who might fill me in on the more "interesting" history of the place. http://m.maploco.com/

I'm not from Wexford, but I was raised in Allegheny County. Wexford is in the northern part of the county, and Glassport, where I was raised is in the southern part of the county.

Wexford is very much suburban America. It also has lots of hills... it's in Western Pennsylvania, hills are everywhere, and lots of woods and parks.
Thank you. Hills are also associated with my Wexford too - especially the town of Wexford. Not for old men like me!
