THE WEXFORD CAROL

This evening I chatted with two young Mormon missionaries here in Wexford about their mission. One was from the US and the other was from Tonga. We spoke about their beliefs and about Christmas.

Later I listened to the 'Wexford Carol' (12th cent.) being sung by a Mormon Tabernacle Choir! The subject of the Carol (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/celticwoman/thewexfordcarol.html) is the Birth of Jesus Christ.

As the Choir sings the Carol a video shows the story of the Lost Sheep and deftly includes references to all the other parables in Luke 15! Can you recognise them? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbsjd7tRA7M).

Hint: The Lost Sheep (Lk 15:4), 10 Pieces of Silver (15:8), The Lost Coin (Lk 15:9), "Bread Enough" Diner (Lk 15:17), The Brother's Inheritance (Lk 15:12 & 31), "Two Sons" (Lk 11).
